TravelAround: Timisoara, Romania
Timisoara is the capital city of the Timiș county, one of the total of 41 counties and Municipality of Bucharest that make up Romania. Located in Southwest Europe, Romania has as neighboring countries Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldavia as well as a natural border with the black sea. Located in the western part of the country, it is the third most populous city in Romania, with a population of approximately 320.000 inhabitants. Bega canal crosses the city and was built to drain the water from the once frequently flooded land near the rivers Timis and Bega.
With very interesting wines and fabulous food, it is a welcoming location for walking with its fresh climate and plain roads.
